Remove the Idle Air Control valve, clean it with TB cleaner and scrub it lightly with a toothbrush and then reinstall it. Have you done a tuneup lately? teddybear8203 12-21-2004, 07:58 PM -my heater/a/c vent is stuck on the defogger, it olny blows out of the defogger, it's does nothing when i switch to vent , heater, etc, i hear a click but idk what it wrong with it the controls are ran off vaccum.. i had the same problem and my vaccum hose was disconnected from the vaccum resivour that is mounted to the hood...you have to look for a vaccum leak somewhere... BlazerLT 12-21-2004, 08:02 PM The vacuum ball on the drivers side portion of the engine bay near the windshiel is where to start. DJCintheROC 12-21-2004, 08:53 PM Ok, no tune up but i just bought the truck, like 3 weeks ago from a bootleg dealer,I also took one spark plug out to see how the engine is runnin and it's runnin clean, the plug was like new, i bought a new IAC and still the same code, it says it has a short in the circuit, where's the cicuit idk, and hmm the vacumm i will check on that tomorrow asap when i get home from work BlazerLT 12-21-2004, 09:11 PM It could because you have a vacuum leak and the IAC can not compensate for it. Remove the negative battery cable for ten minutes, start up the vehicle let it warm up and then hold the brake and put it in gear for two minutes and don't let the truck move. This will force the computer to relearn the idle. DJCintheROC 12-21-2004, 09:16 PM hmmm, wow sounds good i will try that, wow i notice you know alot bought the blazer DJCintheROC 12-21-2004, 09:20 PM alot about* the a Blazer BlazerLT 12-21-2004, 09:22 PM It sall good, I try to help everyone. I would seriously consider tuning up the truck. Consider everything was never touched.
