I want to lower my 1990 Honda Accord Lx (4 Door) and i want to get some information about what coilover srpings are the best ride???

Koni Yellows are the only Struts that have been recommended to me!!!
But they are very expensive!!! But i'm willing to pay the money to get a smooth ride!!!

If your looking for a smooth ride, DO NOT lower your car.

In order to have a some what smmoth ride you will need adjustable dampening(struts) like Koni yellows with Ground Control sleeves or a real coilover kit like Tein Flex, H&R, Toda, etc. Tein basic does not come with adjustable struts.

Skunk 2's are very stiff and not that great of a product IMO. At least with Ground Control they use EIBACH springs and can be customer rated to your liking & to match the struts valving.

Suspension aint cheap, spend the $$$$ for High quality parts or regret it in a few weeks or months.

OK so for coilovers u would recomend Tien and Koni Yellows for struts?

tein kits come with both strut and coilover, unless u get just their lowering springs....

Koni Yellows are stiff to tell you the truth. If you want a soft ride get some Tokicos.

so go with some Tokicos as my struts and get tien coilover springs???

ugh... no tein doesnt make just coilover sleeves.... only their lowering springs dont come with struts...

Coilover is a mis-used word. Our Honda's use a coilover spring, what that means is the coil spring is mounted over a strut. A regular lowering spring is considered a coilover. The other types are coilover sleeves which have an adjustment colllar between the coilover spring and the spring perch on the strut. The last kind are the best, because they are coilover springs mounted to struts designed and engineered to work with eachother in all ranges of adjustments.

Normal coilover springs are like Eibach, Neuspeed, H&R that do not have any adjustment.

Coilover sleeves are like Ground Control's

True coilovers are like Toda, H&R, or Tein.

Tokico and KYB's are STOCK LENGTH struts not designed for anything more than 1.5" of lowering. More lowering can be done but the struts will not last long,warranty's voided, & they can not do their job properly.

well thats getting a bit technical.... but you are right. But common termanology is that when someone says "coilover" they mean adjustable ride height.
