I just received my Helm factory service manuals.....3 volumes for the 1999 S/T trucks.....3000 pages of how to's , pictures, cautions, and needed special tools....

This is VERY cool and see now that if I HAVE to take it to the dealer for a repair that I can't perform, at least I know exactly what he's gonna do ahead of time....

But now I can no longer have to rely on the sketch instructinos in Chilton and Haynes...good riddens....

Total cost for the set $141.00 including shipping.....(6-bucks).

That's equal to about 1.68 hours of labor.....as I will save that in no time tackling things myself......just one job and volia it paid for itself.

True, also, people can pick them up off of ebay for a lot less than that.

I picked up the complete GM Service information/ service and parts application from someone on Ebay (8 disks). it has every repair, rebuilt bulletin, and GM labor for all 95-2004 GM vehicles. The guy probably swiped a copy from a dealer and sold it. It goes thru everything including pictures, special tools and procedures. I think they are copies, but I cannot tell they look original. The loading instructions are a copy.
