well in the last week its been alittle cold here in michigan. im starting to worry about my car. i do the artic start up. where you turn your lights on for like 10 seconds, pump the gas then start it up. but ive noticed some sounds coming from the engine. its a very high pitch fingers on a chalk board sound. if the cars been on for like 30 mins and all warm, it goes away for the most part. but when its not warmed up it only happens when im either in gear on my foots on the clutch. but out of gear it makes the noise too. could it be the belts? Help me before i find out my engine is protesting the weather. thanks

check all belt conditions and make sure their tight (1/4-1/2 inch deflection is the rule of thumb).
