i guess ill start this off with what car i have, its a 1993 civic lx. i have a few questions that i know someone can answer!! i have been working on my car for about 4 years now, nothing spactacular, just basic mods under the hood and a little on the outside. i have noticed that alot of exterior upgrades are geared towars the 2 door which is understandable since just about everyone and thier grandma has one, and they are lighter and more suitable for racing!! blah, blah, now to the point, what is the size difference in the front bumper and fenders, because i know there is some difference as i see it on all websites(2dr only)!! i bought a front bumper for my car (not a stock one) and i was wondering how much work was gonna be needed to get this thing to fit? i havent recieved it yet and im hoping that it will not be too much work so someone please tell me something good!! about the fenders, i was looking at some wide fenders and would like to know what the size difference is and if they could easily be made to fit? thanks!!

2dr/3dr (hatchs) have the same front bumper, corner lights and fenders, 4 dr/2drs have the same rear bumpers. A 2dr bumper should bolt up, but not without ugly gaps, etc. If you want to install a coupe/hatch rear bumper with proper fitment, you'll need to remove the front reinforcement bar (you usually need to do this with body kits anyways), buy 2dr/3dr corner lamps ($20-30) and buy 2 door fenders. All these will bolt onto a 4 door fine. So in short, you'll need to 2dr bumper, corner lamps, fenders and to remove the reinforcement bar to make it fit properly without gaps. The hood and the actuall headlamps are the same, so those are fine and don't need to be replaced. Basically you are converting it to a 2 door/hatch front end to make the bumper fit properly, this being done by replacing the stated above. If you are looking to replace the fenders anyway (which you seem to be looking into), then just buy 2 door fenders. Since you typically have to remove front reinforcement bars with kits anyways (and that doesn't cost anything to do), the only real added cost is $20-30 for corner lamps. For the rear, 2 door tails and rear bumpers will fit without problem.

I hope this helps some.

I know this doesnt directly apply to the question at hand but the 4 door cars with 2 door/hatch front conversions look really nice!
