Pull it, flatten it out, and then bondo the hole.

i wouldnt go deeper than 1/4 thick with bondo, it tends to crack after that.... but like civicspoon said, pull it until its almost perfect and then bondo what you couldnt pull.

sugar is to your body like bondo is to your car's body. try to tap out the quarter panel from the inside or use a dent puller. bondo weighs a lot too, so expect the bondo-mobile to gain some holiday weight. its good to use if the dent is 90% fixed, but if its on a door its going to crack. make sure you get a good electric sander, probably a random orbit sander with some drywall sandpaper mesh. and i wouldnt suggest doing it yourself if youve never done it before, you should apply it with someone with experience and use it veeeeeery sparingly

In my opinion the answer to the bondo question depends where it is to be used. Personally I would rather replace the panel instead of use bondo. The time I would consider using bondo is if I had a dent in a place that is not easily fixable by replacement. (such as the rear fenders, roof, etc) If I was to need to fix any of these pieces I would go with what has already been said. Bondo is ok, but use it with caution and do not use it to fill large dents. Pull the dent out first and then fill.
