having problemsbigmama 12-20-2004, 07:39 PM I have a 1999 2.7L Intrepid and I have had it for about 3 months now and have had it in the shop 3 times now. The first time was that it overheated and they said it was the front fans ("they seized") the second time was I was noticing WHITE smoke coming from my tailpipe and I could STILL smell anifreeze (from my first overheat) and I only had one speed on my heater/ac switch (high). They replaced the oil pressure senser, coolant housing, and the blower motor sensor(not sure what that is called). Well the other day I was taking my kids to school and the speed on my fan would only work on high (AGAIN). So I took it to the shop and they told me that the blower moter is shot now. And to top it off I think it is still smoking!!!!! My husband is wanting to replace the blower motor himself and we do not have a manual on it.....so could someone please tell him EXACTLY where it is and how to change it?! And any help on the white smoke problem would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! theFREAKnasty82 12-20-2004, 11:06 PM White smoke sounds like a blown head gasket. Have someone do a compression test on your motor to make sure. The blower motor is on the passenger side underneath the glove compartment (hopefully he's a contorsionist). Honestly, I feel as though your blower is not bad; you have either a bad blower motor resistor or a wire shorted to ground. If the blower still works, the motor itself is still good. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
