I'm planning to make a turbo setup for a d16z6 (1.6i 16v sohc vtec)

Turbo: T3/T4 (saab (very common here in nl) or other, volvo)
Manifold: new @ shop
Wastegate: new @ shop
Downpipe: new @ shop
FMU: Vortech 12:1 ( what's the 'missing link' some ppl r talkin about on other forums?)
FMIC: shop
BOV: HKS or other
All needed piping/hardware is in stock.
7psi is fine for me btw.
Am I missing something?

Thx in advance!!!

missing an intercooler. ditch the FMU and get some sort of electronic fuel management (afc, uberdata, hondata, emanage...etc...)

Already had it, FMIC = Front Mounted InterCooler ;) Btw, a stand alone fuel management system is kinda out of my budget. That's why I took that FMU as an alternative. Why should i drop it? Isn't it possible to use it anyway? 6/7psi is fine with me, if that has something to do with it.

honda engines dont run on positive manifold pressure. your ecu will throw a CEL if it senses positive pressure from the MAP sensor. the missing link check valve (air can only go one way with this) prevents the map sensor from seeing positive pressure.

you pretty much have all the basic hardware to get it going besides the oil lines and accessories (turbo timer, catch can, boost controller, etc). theres alot more details to get into, but, it seems like you just want to get it up and running.

you'd be more happier and safer with someway to control your fuel. afc with dsm injectors are effective and better than an fmu, but, an fmu will work.

GL, let us know how you come out. Just remember, do it right the first time :)

my bad, missed that. as for the fmu, it should be fine for 6-7 psi but not really any more than that, so itll be more money later on if you wanna up the boost. plus an safc can be had for under 200, well worth it if you want cheap(er), more reliable tuning.
