Hi there,

I just replaced my steering gear box the other day. I bleed the system and topped up the power steering fluid as outlined in the repair manual.
After bleeding the system for several minutes I noticed the power steering fluid became bubbly/foamy. Is this normal? If not what should
I do to overcome this problem.

Thank you.

The bubbles are the result of air left in the system after you hooked it up and bleed it.

Quite normal.... Let it sit, recheck the fluid level and take it for a short drive and recheck.

Sometimes I've had to take the weight off the front end and work the wheels back and forth, letting it sit for the foam to go away between time.

Eventually it works its self out.
