Now tell me this is an "original".........f1gt 12-18-2004, 08:27 PM hi everyone look at this folks, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=223&item=6940239657&rd=1&ssPageName=WD2V it says factory built, but it obviously aint. look at the plate, what a load of rubbish, the garland has the 2 bits missing from the bottom, and it reads F.1 GTR, whats the . all about? and the part where it reads 1996, aint even centralised!!! now if this was factory, it would be perfect? am i not right??? forgot to mention, im a new user, and only just registered. mini magic 12-18-2004, 10:59 PM The listing is confusing. I think factory built means literally, in a factory. I don't think it means that McLaren built it. If thats what you are asking. Mpowered 12-18-2004, 11:56 PM Call me whatever you want, but the old saying buyer beware comes to mind with this piece. I just don't buy anything from Hong Kong. My brother went there a number of years ago and brought back numerous fake items. We knew they were fake and we paid him very little for them. I just don't trust items coming from China and Hong Kong. MikeGTR 12-19-2004, 03:53 AM The model is a fake. The model was released by Autobarn in America with an edition of only 50. I believe a batch were stolen and ended up in Japan. Autobarn have now changed the base plates and changed the box colour to blue. Mike christophe320d 12-19-2004, 02:37 PM The model is a fake. It wasn't on the carbon plate and was not numbered. Label on the box was also fake. I emailed Autobarn on this and they did some research. Factory sold some under the table. mini magic 12-19-2004, 02:51 PM but isn't it the same model? Why does it matter if it has the right or wrong plate? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
