heres the easy way. go to honda and pick up the stud for $4-5. take it to your local mechanic with a hydraulic press. $15 and you are done. :)

well i went back out later to finish the job and the back of the studs wont clear the hub.. so you have to have somthin that you can pull the hub off with.. and then do it.. i dont think all civics are like this just the 5th gen.. cause my mechanic told me how to do it but forgot about that on my model.. so nm.. but if you even need to get to the brakes or somthin look on your caliper find the 12mm bolt on the bottom of it and take it out... then try to take the 12mm off the top of it, and the caliper should lift up like a lever.. then hold it up and push it in towards the car.. and it should just slide right off.. then take a 17mm soket and undo the two bolts left of the remaining part of the caliper.. youll most likely need lots a leverage. and yeah then comes the disk just unscrew the two screws holding it to the hub and there ya go..
