1994 GC, 4L, quadratrack newly purchased. I noticed what looks like a small rubber vacuum line hanging from the engine compartment. The line is attached to the front case of the front diffrential, but I can't locate where the other end belongs.

its the vent hose for the front diff,it clips into the side of the air cleaner above the steering gear box
