The tanks look cool! 11chevy 12-18-2004, 07:56 PM many thanks, :1: no,unfortunatly the 9 volt and the switch are just for the lights, and it 's true i just realised with the pics that the tires has got too low profile tires(it will be better on my next 1/12), thanks, but i still have a lot of work on it and i think that i will put it on stand by(2 months that i only work on it and i have about 4 projects in progress so...) many many thanks again! cooltc2004 12-18-2004, 09:10 PM Did you read the title? Looks good man, but those wheels are as ugly as sin on a car like that. Lil'budman Yes i did, says 69 camaro convertible. many companies made 69 camaros, thats all shorty327 12-19-2004, 02:48 AM Killer Maro needs more rubber. Like the mods thou.Did u spin those wheels? GTmike400 12-19-2004, 10:50 AM That pretty sweet. The new rims are killer. Were the rims machined on a mill? BugZilla 12-19-2004, 11:41 AM Looking great and the rims do look better, though not really in tune with my personal tastes. One thing, now that the wheels are opened up, you might consider doing some larger rotors and calipers, looks rather barren behind the wheels. 11chevy 12-19-2004, 01:19 PM many thanks for all your replies, GTmike400: yes wheels are made on a numerical mill(i don't sure for the sense in english),and the exterior are made on a lathe, brakes are made on a lathe too,and i just realised that they are a little bit small for those rims, but all my mistakes are good experience for my next models, and this camaro was built for the third time (and between three cities)so a lot of parts are not in good condition so it is hard to have a good finish but for my first 1/12 i like it! thanks again Fastphil 12-19-2004, 09:59 PM one other thing, i dunno if anyone mentioned it or if you fixed it with the new wheels, but on the first set of wheels the right front tire is mounted backwards. http://img57.exs.cx/img57/9150/124bq.jpg 11chevy 12-20-2004, 05:59 AM oh,exactly i don't remark that but i have been more careful with teh new version, thanks, the camaro in my garage... http://img22.exs.cx/img22/748/dscn40529vo.jpg http://img22.exs.cx/img22/3893/dscn40617zq.jpg bye, GTmike400 12-20-2004, 12:09 PM Sweet garage! More pics of the car. primera man 12-20-2004, 04:40 PM Have to agree with what has been said already about the rims and tyres. I'm still finding it hard to believe you have chopped the roof off this classic car!!! 11chevy 12-21-2004, 04:58 AM thanks, i'm sorry to shock you with my roof chopped, but the previous owner cracked it on all the lenghth so if i leave it the paint will crack too for the assembling,so... but i'm more and more interested to do another next year but more detailled and with best finish, more pics soon with the leather interior and new dash board, thanks, SLAYTANIC_1134 12-22-2004, 12:27 PM WOW! Absolutely amazing, I like the paint and the wheel design the most. Very nice stance and tires could be a little bigger but not much! I can't believe the amount of detail on a 1/12 scale(I gotta. Are the wheels actually screwed on to the axles via lugnuts!?! p.s. Does anyone know if there are any 1/12 Chevelles available?? 1986Z28 12-22-2004, 01:51 PM im loving the new rims, amazing detail on the engine bay, keep up the good work 11chevy 12-23-2004, 01:49 PM WOW! Absolutely amazing, I like the paint and the wheel design the most. Very nice stance and tires could be a little bigger but not much! I can't believe the amount of detail on a 1/12 scale(I gotta. Are the wheels actually screwed on to the axles via lugnuts!?! p.s. Does anyone know if there are any 1/12 Chevelles available?? thanks, yes that's right wheels are screwed on the axles via machined lugnuts, but for 1/12 chevelles i think there is no models available,if one day it will be done i will be one of the first to buy it, i currently work on the interior, new flocking floor, new seats(home made design with leather and seat belts),new dash board, and a little bit of sound(don't worry just a little), unfortunatly pics in 2 weeks because i don't work fast because i'm not at home... tahnks again, the engine bay is detailled again(more detailled)... 1986Z28 12-23-2004, 02:43 PM yeah a 1/12 chevelle would be nice, thats amazing that the wheels are actually held on with lugnuts builder 12-26-2004, 01:36 PM my god man whyyy chop off the roof just becouls off a little brake in it fix it for crist sake im not liking the wheels but its your model why not make it into a street machin look or pro street 11chevy 12-26-2004, 07:04 PM my god man whyyy chop off the roof just becouls off a little brake in it fix it for crist sake im not liking the wheels but its your model why not make it into a street machin look or pro street the "little brake" was the roof long and why are you so shocked by this chop?yeah i prefer it with it but the convertible is cool too, it will be a modern street machine, and i am proud of it seeing from what i started, and i won't be able to build it stock because the previous owner lost some parts and when i received it there were not the stock wheels so it would be difficult to build a stock version(even if i like it but i like modified cars more)and i don't think it is not too "distressing", thanks for the comments, builder 12-28-2004, 10:59 AM the "little brake" was the roof long and why are you so shocked by this chop?yeah i prefer it with it but the convertible is cool too, it will be a modern street machine, and i am proud of it seeing from what i started, and i won't be able to build it stock because the previous owner lost some parts and when i received it there were not the stock wheels so it would be difficult to build a stock version(even if i like it but i like modified cars more)and i don't think it is not too "distressing", thanks for the comments, ok i agree but the brake can be fixed my sisters kid snaped of the roof on 1 of my models and that god put back on with no scars i modify models to but not to that extent i too take off the roof but what ever floats your boat my self i hate cab`s takes away the hola shape off the car and kinda destroys it im more off an old school style builder whene it comes to amcars but thats me but stil a good build thow if exept for the roof chop and pshyco big rims tpliquid 12-28-2004, 01:48 PM ahhh new wheels look better Murco 12-28-2004, 03:18 PM p.s. Does anyone know if there are any 1/12 Chevelles available?? Nope, but I keep begging Revell for one!! Maybe if everyone begged!!! builder 12-28-2004, 04:16 PM Nope, but I keep begging Revell for one!! Maybe if everyone begged!!! is that revell-monogram or the german revell? maybe we should all beg like hell until they give in and start making them again but in the mean time there is the revell corvette stingray thow and the 32 ford roadster Murco 12-28-2004, 06:25 PM is that revell-monogram or the german revell? maybe we should all beg like hell until they give in and start making them again but in the mean time there is the revell corvette stingray thow and the 32 ford roadster Revell-Monogram... They released a 70 Chevelle SS454 in 1/24 scale back in the early-80's (still easily found) but never in 1/12. The only cars they've done in 1/12 are the '69 Camaro, '67 Stingray Coupe, and '57 Chevy Bel-Air. All of these kits were made from the 1/24 masters so it could feasibly be inexpensive to do, but they'd have to do more underhood work as the SS454 kit had the m/c, a/c, battery, and wheel-wells molded-into the engine compartment. The body was spot-on, though! Ralphlovs1969Cars 01-22-2005, 07:40 PM Hey Nicolas, I love your Convertible!! I give you points for " ORIGINALITY". Never seen or thougth of building a Convertible before WOW! I give you points for the wheels too.. you say you had to make them? Over here in the U.S. its really hard for us to find wheels so making them means you have a great talent. What machine did you make them with? When will you be done with the interior? I been waiting...... 11chevy 01-23-2005, 09:10 AM oh thanks, i made wheels with a lathe and a CNC,and i have polished them, i don't work on it since my last message,i want to work on other projects because i work on it(just on it)for too much time but i will finish it,one day... thanks again, vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
