Hello,
I have been thinking on a v8 swap for my tired 2.6 with 300,000 KM.
There is a guy locally who has managed to put in a small 283 with automtic but he really chopped up the rad support and transmission hump along with the inner fenders to get everything in. He kept the original transfer case and running gear and the thing is still going.
I was wondering if anyone else has done this and what types of V8 would be considered the better fit and ,or ,the easier to work with as far as fitting into the mazda frame. Does anyone have any stories about doing this swap ?
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions
Best,
Myles

if i was going to do that which i thought of i would go with a 327. that would be an awsome setup and easier than a 350.
