Anybody have better luck using any particular type of injector cleaner over another? What are the best brands?

I really have never noticed any improvement when I use injector cleaner. Im sure it helps but to me they all seem the same. I did use some super strength carb cleaner in my caprice on time that worked a friggin miracle. Cant remember what it was called now. I had used all kinds of stuff in that thing, and none helped until I tried that stuff.

The best way is to use the 3M pro stuff that you connect to the injector rail, disable the pump, and let it run on the cleaner until it dies. That stuff works the best. You might be able to rent or borrow the hose assembly to connect it.

It comes in a tall pressurized can that provides adequate fuel pressure for the rail, and the engine just runs off it alone. you have to disconnect your fuel pump, remember. It usually runs about 10-20 minutes on it before it is depleted.

yeah, thats the best way to go, just make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse first. You want the car to only run on the injector cleaner. Just a question for you Jeff, is this stuff in any way harmfull to my cat converter, or my O2 sensor? Thanks

No, it is emissions control safe, and actually scrubs those parts to some extent. The danger is from products that leave a residue on the sensors. That causes them to become ineffective. The cat can only be poisoned by a few things, this isn't one of them.
