Is the 2.4l engine in my 1992 Stanza an interfering engine ? gn2 12-15-2004, 08:07 PM I've got a 1992 Nissan Stanza with the 2.4l four cylinder. IS IT AN INTERFERING MOTOR ?? The timing chain broke on me, and before I pay someone several hundred dollars to fix it, I need to know if all the valves are bent or not ? Does anyone know, 100% for sure, if this engine is interfering or not ?? Please, please let me know if you do.... THanks syres420 12-15-2004, 08:10 PM INTERFERING MOTOR ??? whats that? gn2 12-15-2004, 08:40 PM An interfering motor is an engine whose valves intrude into the cylinder enough that IF your timing chain breaks, the piston smashes the valves and bends them all to hell. Love the pictures of your Stanza BTW. gn2 12-15-2004, 10:14 PM For anyone else interested in knowing, the 2.4 litre four cylinder engine IS an interfering engine in the Stanza. My shop manual cautions against turning the crank and cam separately as the pistons will hit the valves. Anyone need any Stanza parts ? shtroumf 01-12-2005, 10:53 AM lol :) I need your TPS :) or even the complete throttle body assembly?? how much? sorry about the KA24E m8.. sometime unfortune make other happy :) Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
