si hatchback!!!hmotorpimpn05 12-14-2004, 12:35 AM i was just wondering if anyone knew if the 5th gen civic si hatchback came with power windows and power locks thanks Miataracer 12-14-2004, 12:37 AM yes it did hmotorpimpn05 12-14-2004, 12:42 AM are you sure that all of them came with them or were they just optional Miataracer 12-14-2004, 12:49 AM hmm it is possible they were just optional. I was just looking at a list of the key features and I did not see power windows and locks listed it did come with the power sunroof standard though hmotorpimpn05 12-14-2004, 12:57 AM yea the moonroof i knew and i was looking at buying one but i didnt know if it had the power windows and locks or not but thanks CivicSpoon 12-14-2004, 01:02 AM Option. It was covered on a few threads over at honda-tech, there were huge arguments about it. honda_luvr_2000 12-14-2004, 01:02 AM the less power options you have on the car the less weight u will have. that's y the VX is prolly u'r best bet. the lightest, already wired for VTEC, so all u'd need is the engine tranny and ecu sumone please correct me if i'm wrong i don't wanna give out mis info CivicSpoon 12-14-2004, 01:32 AM you're pretty much right. The weight between the VX and CX is debatable. Based on the stickers in the door jams my CX weighs 2044lbs and my friends VX weighs around 2090lbs (can't remember the exact #); both with A/C. But I've read different variations between the 2. Honestly I don't see how there is almsot a 50lb difference between both of our cars. The only difference that I know of is the EGR stuff and the read diffuser on the VX. hmotorpimpn05 12-14-2004, 05:37 PM the si is rated at like 2230 or somewhere around there i think Miataracer 12-14-2004, 05:52 PM The weights of these cars are pretty heavily disputed but that does sound about right. Shaguar47 12-15-2004, 06:48 PM Also, did si's come with special seats cause there's two of them around town with seats in them that have headrest with a hole in them. And they both looked the same too? Heist 12-15-2004, 11:08 PM my si 4 door dont have holes in the headrest....maybe they have a bad moth problem Hilikus Funkin 12-15-2004, 11:45 PM the si hatches did come with B16's right? because everywhere ive seen specs for it say it has 125 hp stock. Miataracer 12-15-2004, 11:59 PM 5th gen si hatches came with a d16z6 bingisSD 12-16-2004, 12:00 AM no they came with a d16z6 (125hp), only the del sol vtec came with a b16 (160 hp) eckoman_pdx 12-20-2004, 02:40 AM Also, did si's come with special seats cause there's two of them around town with seats in them that have headrest with a hole in them. And they both looked the same too? 5th gen Si hatchs had the same seats as other 5th gens. It's possible the ones you saw had Teg seats installed in them, since Teg seats have the headrests with holes in the middle and will bolt right in. Shaguar47 12-20-2004, 03:54 PM hmmm....then that must be. It's just these are two seperately owned cars on either side of the city. Maybe one day I'll find it parked somewhere and take a look. Thanks eckoman_pdx 12-20-2004, 04:15 PM hmmm....then that must be. It's just these are two seperately owned cars on either side of the city. Maybe one day I'll find it parked somewhere and take a look. Thanks No problem, always glad to help. hatchbacksi 12-21-2004, 03:33 PM The 5th gens did not come with power locks or windows...to do that you need to buy ex door panels....the si panels had a hole for the crank plus the arm rest thing isnt wide enough to accomodate power buttons..... CivicSpoon 12-21-2004, 03:39 PM The Si did have an option for those. Like I stated earlier, go search on honda-tech.com. And look here, edmunds listed it as a "standard feature" but it was just an option: http://www.edmunds.com/used/1994/honda/civic/11546/standard.html?tid=edmunds.u.prices.leftsidenav..5.
