I have a 1992 Eldorado that needs struts all the way around. The deal wants $500.00 per electronic strut. Is there an alternative strut that is cheaper or a source that I can buy them cheaper. Is there anything special I should be aware of when replacing them ?

Thanks

Well, I bought 4 replacement struts for my 1989 Biarritz for approximately $1,200 about ten years ago from Goodyear. These fit the 1988 to 1991. You might check with them to see if they can cover your '92, which was the first year of a new generation ElDo running from '92 to '02, the final year of production for our favorite Cadillac model.

Hope this helps.

There are aftermarket kits available on the market now that off alternative suspensions for lower costs. You can get a conversion kit for your suspension for the price of just one of those OE struts. Send me PM if you want some more information. I will do the best I can to help you out as much as possible.
