I'm not a pro, but it looks to me like you didn't wash the body before you started painting it.

I had the same exact problem with my camaro when using Krylon Fusion White. No matter how much I sand it down, the ripples don't go away. Anyone know how to solve this?

I used krylon spray.

Theres you problem right there. I've never had any luck with Krylon, I once got a can of nothing but over spray, Id strip the body down with brake fluid, and see what you've got, I always use Duplicolor Auto Spray. It's really good paint and it pretty cheap.

I agree with James. Primer is essential if you are using "hot" automotive paint. Otherwise the solvents will eat into the plastic. Good for a strong bond but not good when the plastic is damaged. You could possibly sand the bad areas down, prime and try again.

I have the very same problem last week on a Aoshima Nissan Silvia S15. Washed, Tamiya Fine Primer and then a few dust coats of Tamiya TS14 Black then a few wet coat and it came out like this. No matter what I did it was still the same. It's in Dot 4 now being stripped.
I put mine down to the cold weather and humidity, but not really sure why

I'm having similar problems with Tamiya X-18 drying flat. Any ideas about that one? It really screwed me up when doing some touch ups.

I had Krylon do that to me on the Cobra in my avatar, I just sprayed another coat after a few minutes and it laid down smooth.
