Which one do you Honda guys think is more important? Performance or the looks of the car?

Defenitely Performance. But youll get killed easier if your car is shit fast, well at least me...

A blend of both is always the best options in my opinion, the thing is some performance things make the car look better at the same time, wheels, big brakes for example.

A stockish looking car that is very fast is better compared to a car that looks really racy and its slow, but it all comes down to taste...whatever floats ones boat, there is no need for negative/non constructive critisicm is you dicide to modifiy the exterior of your car for show purposes.

i would choose performance.i got a civic eg with full body kits and decals i mean my car is a head turner.then i drag with my mates car (its a shitty old mazda 1985) in the highway.He was keeping up with me and shit.So i felt kinda embarrising but hell,dats life!

Im going to be different and say looks, for example in my opinion nothing looks better than a huge turbo slapped on a built up engine....its a beautiful sight...and dont let anyone pick on stickers, each sticker adds about 20hp

But yes I agree with everyone so far that performance is the way to go. Even if your car looks "good", if it drives like sh*t and is slower than a Geo Metro; then what's the point of driving it. And to me performance doesn't just mean speed, it's also about the quality of the ride and the handling as well.

Think about it this way. To get a really nice looking car it would cost you a few grand for a nice body kit, hood, good quality paint job not the $199 special, whatever else you crazy kids do. And with that few grand you could instead swap in a more powerful engine, slap a turbo on it and drive fast as hell. Sure it wont impress the average girl but when you beat her boyfriend in the corvette she might give you a wink or so.

depends on if you have a girl already or you need a lure to get one. Performance and Looks can't really coincide very well because good looking aftermarket parts add weight. totally stripped out/down car performs the best, so have a car for both. a car for the track and a car for the saturday afternoon stroll along the boulevard like me :¬). tw my show car runs like crap. I only repair the racing motor.

it all just comes down to the owner. the person that has to drive and look at it everyday. i'd say start with drop and rims and paint(if need be. no one likes a car with rust), then performance.

Why not get a high performance motor swap, all bolt-ons and internals, a big brake kit....a finely tuned suspension....a sweet set of wheels, a killer body kit, hood, fenders, flares, spoiler, side cuts, and then drop a wide body overlay on top of it?

Sleeper. Performance is the best. Nothing like pulling up in a stock looking car and blowing your competitor away. I wouldnt have it any other way,

no offense but we are all driving a civic. with that said no matter what you do to it, the majority of people will still be like 'pfft, its another civic'. i dont care if it has the nicest paint job biggest rims and widest body kit. its still a civic. so go all performance. take a look at mine

total sleeper, that kills cameros, mustangs, etc. and its fun as fuck to drive. now would that same civic give YOU the satisfaction when driving it if it had the stock CX motor but with a full body kit and flashy paint? the only satisfaction you'd get would be from stupid bimbos and ricer boys who dont know better. seems silly to impress those idiots than to have a fast car.

nobody is impressed with civics anymore, they hold such negative connotation to them that i wonder why anyone even bothers customizing the exterior. invest in your car for yourself. make it fast and fun to drive and you couldnt be happier. i've gotten more compliments for leaving it stock than i would if i slapped a body kit on. seriosuly, more respect for being all go no show. if you want a head turner, sell your civic and get a sports car. civics dont turn heads anymore.

to me function = sexy a dinged up car sitting on some MT autocrossers sticking outta the fenders is so much sexier then something on 19s
