when taking out the spark plugs, on the last one (on the side of the distributor cap) the spark plug was covered in oil. this was the only one with oil.

could this be a gasket/seal problem? i was thinking it could be the distributor O-ring.

recently i replaced the valve cover gasket and the 4 rubber seals that go on the valve cover.

Remove the plug wires from the plugs again and retighten the 4 large (30MM) nuts to 27 foot pounds. I would go in sequence starting with 9, then 18 and then 27 foot pounds. That should cure the leak.
