i am looking at getting other smaller dealership parts because i can get free shipping with purchases over 50 bucks, and i can get em for cheap.

In November of 2004 I order a muffler from expressautoparts.com that they said was in stock and would ship in 3-5 days. I received an e-mail conformation of the order, an $89.37 charge on my credit card and a note that I would get a tracking number as soon as the part shipped.

An inquiry about the order 3 weeks later resulted in an automated response saying that my part was on back order at the warehouse level and to please allow another 3-6 days for the part to ship. After another 2 weeks went by without the part being shipped, I canceled the order and received another automated e-mail response confirming the cancellation.

Being naïve, I expected a refund on my credit card which never happened. Repeated requests since then have always resulted in automated e-mail responses with messages such as please allow 30 days for your credit to show up on your credit card billing or the latest really dumb message saying that they have changed their credit card processor and can no longer give me a credit.

Complaints filed with my state attorney general’s office and the New York better business bureau have simply been ignored by expressautoparts.com because they know that no punitive measure will be taking against them. The Washington State Attorney Generals office said they could not act as my private attorney and suggested that I hire one to recover my $89.37, lol. No help from my credit card company either, they would not accept a disputed charges claim because it had been more than 60 days after the transaction was posted.

Too late for me I found out that this company has been ripping people off for years. Too bad they are not smart enough to run an honest business.

10/30/2006 Update, they sent my refund check!
I was contacted by new management at expressautoparts.com, they are trying to clean up old unresolved issues. After checking my order history, they promptly sent my refund.

You should check out these guys at BMA Auto Parts. They know BMW's, prices are the best I've found overall, and of course, the shipping is free over 50 bucks. I've been buying from them for about three years and have not had one single issue. Check 'em out.

expressautoparts has never been very reliable. The best place for auto parts and pretty much anything automotive is http://www.autopartsway.com.

They have great prices and the best service i've seen. I ordered from them 4 times and I was impressed each time. Great service, great communication, they ship right away. I recommended them to friends before and everyone was satisfied.
