ST205 'Castrol' MC is good but it a bit too expensive as a trans-kit.

Ferrari 'IGOL' is excellent in all way, I did not bought this version, but got the 'Shell' Suzuka version.

F1-GTR 'Fina'... Parts are not equal to the price, but still better than the rest of the brands whose did this. Actually, ST27 is retool this kit from Modeler's(after it closed down). They buy over the mold and start to reproduce it. Most of the older version of F1-GTR came with machine rims, but the new one all come with casting wheels...(cut cost, I think).
I got most of them, but none of the short tail :frown: . Now waiting for the re-release of McLaren F1 GTR 'Lark', hope they will release both as I will buy short tail...that ran in JGTC. :grinyes:

I do not agreed for the Ferrari F40 from ST27...the car is in fact way to small, all the fenders need to be enlarged, the chassis and the engine are molded in one piece, no detail possible, impossible to open louvres or grills from behind...the roof is not correct...
I have sold the kit on ebay...The best F40LM is to convert the fujimi kit which is also not exactly correct but the shape of the car is the most real.
Hope this helps...
Phil

If you want to try conversion kit, try this... MSM F40 'IGOL' transkit for Tamiya. Now you have engine that from Tamiya plus conversion parts from MSM, wheels, interior and the front body, and it fit with Tamiya rear hood perfectly.
ST27 usually do curbside kit. If you are looking for more advance (full open or even more), kit-bashed or scratchbuild yourself. The outcome must be better than any after-market conversion or full kits.

Wow, I hadn't expected to see this thread at the top again. Thanks guys.

Phil - thank God I didn't buy it yet.

Rtuned - with respect to the MSM transkit, I was only aware of Pilot and street versions. Do you know where I can buy an IGOL transkit?

I fully agree with Rtuned, I also have the MSM transkit for the Pilot version, and if you are using the Tamiya base, you will have the possibility to nicely detail the car and the engine. Do not forget to buy the photo-etched sheet for the F40 from Studio27, it is made only for the tamiya kit, so nice and so accurate ! it fits perfectly. I have bought both MSM transkit and photo-etched parts from Mediamix hobby.
See info on www.msmcreation.com and www.mediamixhobby.com.sg
