would anyone with a '99 cherokee sport know the width of the cargo area with the spare tire in the back? I'm putting together a "safety kit" of sorts as a christmas gift (CDs, batteries, gloves, other random things) and I need to know my maximum width for the box I'm going to put it in!

full size spare, or compact spare?

whats the difference? it's stock size with a carpet-type cover.
