Hi,

I wanted to know if any of you guys know the difference between the tamiya 1/24 austin and morris mini? Because at my local hobby shop a morris mini is 15 euro's, a racing mini 18, a rally mini 21, and an austin mini 28(!) euro. Is it just a remold of the older morris model, or does it have some 'exclusive' :smokin: extra's?

Don't know about the rally Mini's, but I'm sure they have extra parts and decals. I posed the same question about the Morris vs. Austin Mini. There are a few new parts that are exclusive to the Austin Mini, grill, wheels, etc, but it's basically the same kit. Link to that thread. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=169257

Go to Hobby Search (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/plamo/), do a search for "mini tamiya 1/24" and you'll get a listing of all four kits. Click on each link and you'll go to a page with links to the contents and instructions. Well for three of the four anyway.

Looking at the price difference in Japanese yen, there is no reason for the large difference in Euro. Unless the Morris Mini is older stock?

nope, the morris just got here last week.
Anyway, going for the morris (gotta love them early 60's alloys  ).But thanks for the help anyway!

The austin mini has a few photo etch (adhesive backed), and an extra set of Cooper 'S' wheels.
The racing mini has 2 sets of wheels, and so does the rally mini. The rally mini and racing mini have an extra tree of parts.
I have built each one of these models more than twice. In more ways then 1.
Thats all that i can think of as to the big difference in price.
