Is there an online manual or illustrated website that shows how to replace the antenna on a '93 Civic EX?

It's a driver's-side pillar type antenna. Manual. Thanks

There is no online manual that i know of. But it's not that hard, even easier if you don't have a sunroof.

just unplug it from the radio, unscrew it at the roof, tape a string to it, and pull out the old one. Then separate the string from the old antenna, and carefully attatch the new antenna wire to the string and pull the string, the wire should thread itselfback along the same path as the old one.

In a worse-case scenario, you're gonna have to reach up under the dash by the pedals to feed the wire to the radio, and possibly have to wire-tie/zip tie it to something else so it doesnt fall by the pedals.

And how do you unplug it from the radio?

on the back of your radio there will be a little push in plug for the antenna. you simply pull the plug out after you have taken out the radio

Ok, you take out the console, which there are 4 screws. Two are on either side by the bottom. The other is on the driver's side, and almost points up. It's by the upper corner of the console. To get the last, you need to open the glovebox, and it is right there on the upper-left corner (if you're facing it).

Then it pulls off, but the lighter plug will hold it, so just unplug it.

I think there are some screws that hold on the radio by the face of it. Take those out, and it should pull out twords you, simply reach back there and take out the plugs.

There may be another screw or small bolt holding in the radio, it's been a few years since I took mine out. AND aftermarket radios may need special tools that came with the radio to pull it out of the sleeve. The tools are thin pieces of metal that slide in either side, and then you just pull them twords you.

If it's a factory sunroof, the drain tubes may cause you problems getting the new wire in. It may be a tight squeeze in that pillar thing with the tube and wire.
