Homemade GrillK2sInteg98 12-09-2004, 07:47 PM I was wondering if anyone knew how to make a grill. I have some wire mesh laying around and it is the perfect size but how would u mount the grill on??? does it require some kind of bracket, if so where can i get it/how can i make it? I have a black Integ so i was thinking about going with black mesh but might go with the silver to match the rims. Feel free to give suggestions. If anyone has a full write up on this that would be great, if not can u give me a little guide. genkichild 12-10-2004, 10:11 AM I have a homemade grill on my 95 gsr. (yes my ride is a little ricey). I cut out the original plastic grill, but left some of the plastic on the sides, then drilled 4 holes in it as unobtrusively as possible. I ran 4 bolts with washers just bigger than the mesh holes, and pinched the mesh down with the washers. It sounds ghetto, but I was really careful and it actually turned out ok. Stainless bolts, washers and grill. I followed this up by shaving the emblems, and slipped with the sander making a nice flat spot in my bumper. Man I felt dumb. heh. kornflakes28546 12-10-2004, 11:06 AM genkichild... can you post some pics for how it looks? i'm having a hard time picturing this in my head, it sounds interesting.
