I have a 2001 GMC 4x4 Sierra reg. cab with 6ft box. It has the roughest suspension on any truck I have ever rode in. After reading in previous posts someone else mentioned about their sierra looking like it was deformed with the bed sticking up high in the air and the nose down low. Im sure GM does this to compensate for the user when they haul a load or trailer. However I had taken mine to the dealer and they adjusted the torsion bars and it brought the truck up about an inch or two and it still does not sit even and it rides rougher.

I was hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone and maybe get new shocks so the truck will ride alot smoother and maybe fix the appearence. Is this possible and how much money would it cost to do this?

First off it is a truck and is supposed to ride like a truck. There was a time where cars rode like cars and trucks rode like trucks..now everyone wants their 4x4 truck with big tires to ride like a Caddy.
Secondly when you have the tension on the torsion bars turned up to raise the front end, you made the suspension even stiffer...you cause more problems by doing this :loser:

yep to above and by raisin the front you take away from the front's ability to absorb bumps and holes on the road.

I'm surprised the dealer didn't tell you about this side effect about raising the front with the torsion bar adjustment.

Another side effect of raisin the front that way is you end up wearing out the CV joints faster due to the increased angles that the cv joints are now normally spinning.
