I am looking for a good pair of 8" subs. Not really sure what would be the best ones to get. I am looking for mid to high price range. I like cerwin vega. Any suggestions.

Depends on if you want clarity or just have it be loud. Audiobahn Flame Q's hit hard, don't know if they make them in 8" or not. Overall, I think JL Audio makes some of the best stuff, check into them.

Man reguardless of what you buy its all different!!! You should go with either JL audio or Infinity Kappa Perfect they are the 2 best subs are the market for your money in my opinion!!!

I can think of far better subs than JLs and Infinity Kappa Perfects. Like eD, superior SQ and performance.

I've never heard of them either. They look decent, but I wouldn't rate them above JL, at least not by what the website shows. I know a guy who went to a sound competition national tournament (rated #1 in CT), and he says JL audio is some of the best stuff you can get. He also swears by Kicker and Alpine.

go to a car audio forum and ask them about eD. They have gained a cult following. Only JL speaker that could out perform these subs is the W7. Although the O series would be damn close.

I've also heard three different systems using these speakers, but with the last generation models when all of their subs used a flat piston cone. The SQ is soooooo sweet, and in the right box they can get very loud. A lot of people are running just one 0 or A(old model) series 12 and are very satisfied.

CDT Audio 8" EuroSport Series subs

I swear by CDT Audio speakers... I have a 12" they make, and a set of the older model 8" and they're deffinately the best 8" subs I've ever heard.
I no longer use 8" subs though

the JL audio w6v2 is also up there.

I would go with JL audio if you're worried about sound quality, providing you can find them cheap because JL audio isn't the cheapest thing out there. Hell, even with hookups, I can't get them as cheap as I want it. lol

eD is an awesome company. I have a set of components and an amp from them and they're customer service is awesome. I would highly recommend them. Back to the subject, eD is coming out with a new 8 inch sub very soon, and as far as I know it is dirt cheap. Something like $50 a piece if pre-ordered. I could be wrong on the price, although they have unbelievable prices.

yes you can pre-order them. Oh and by the way Infinity does not make a set of 8 inch subs so that is not a valid suggestion. W7's I would assume are out of your price range. I would never put down the $600+ or whatever it is for a single 8 inch sub, but that's just me.
