Ground Location-Signal/Marker/HazLights HarnessNJPagan 12-08-2004, 04:51 PM Hiya Jeep Heads... I am still having difficulty with the Driver's Side Blinker dash arrow being on when I turn on my Parking/Headlight switch. By virtue of a little deductive reasoning (Well, as far as that'll get you in the real world) I am assuming that my Parking Lights are grounding through the HazLights. (Because when you have the arrow on with the Parking Lights, it goes off and flashes normally when the HazLights are actuated, as long as you have the HazLights on their's no problem...;) Can anyone tell me the actual location of the ground that feeds the lighting harness by the air filter box? I want to verify all is intact, clean, tight, etc. at that location... Hey...It's a guess, I'm allowed at least three before I break out the big hammer... Stephen 89ltd 12-08-2004, 10:45 PM is it a jeep?, What year, model? 89ltd 12-08-2004, 11:02 PM I've had that happen before and usually indicates that there is a burned out brake or turn signal light bulb, or a defective turn signal flasher... NJPagan 12-09-2004, 05:37 AM Good Point, LTD...It's an 88 Jeep Cherokee. All the lights are intact and the turn signal blinker unit is brand new though the Drive side front parking light still doesn't work. I cleaned the harness by the air filter box (got rid of the dried out lithium grease and general crud all over/in it) and that seemed to restore operation to most of the lighting that wasn't working, but the actual ground location of that harness remains a mystery... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
