what are good low profile tires to use in all season and condtionsprototype80 12-07-2004, 06:53 PM i had an experiece with kuhmo ecsta supra 205/40/17 the other year coming home from leave and got stranded 30 minutes from my house luckily at a hotel because of 2 feet of snow(the platoon sergeant wasnt to happy). i am getting ready for a road trip to texas and am wondering what are good tires to use in case i run into snow or something i know kuhmo is out of the question i have thought of toyota proxes or yokohama parada(i dont know if i spelled that right) which one of these will be better in case i do hit bad weather Greenblurr93 12-07-2004, 07:31 PM umm, toyota doesnt make tires... lol, anyway, your thinking of toyo proxies. and i can tell u that they wont be good in snow, i dont really know much about the parada's. why dont u got to a junk yard and pick up four steelies and throw some toyo spectrums on them, thats what i have and they are awsome in the snow, rain or whatever. prototype80 12-07-2004, 10:24 PM ooops got cars on my brains again common problem...anyhow i still have my steelies but not the cash to get 2 sets of wheels. i may just put the all season tires on my steelies on and drive out to texas with thse and put the wheels on in my garage once i get a chance CivicSiRacer 12-07-2004, 11:05 PM Kumho makes an all season tire (the ASX). YOu probably had the Kumho Ecsta 712s which are a summer only tire. I'm running the Toyo Proxes 4 which are an all season tire and I like them so far. Very good wet handling. Hasn't snowed yet though. Another good all season tire was the Dunlop SP5000s on my wife's 2002 Protege 5. We got through a huge dumping of snow back in 2003 with her tires. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
