You have plenty of off road lights! But the other pics are too dark! Looks like a black X?

Where are you from? Are you running a lift or just cranked torsion bars?

Classic... CB antenna bolted to the fairlead mount, ARB mounted with only 4 bolts, tree wires, rattling shackles, street tires and step rails...

Troll.

Great looking truck, get some more pics in the mud in the daytime so we can see some more!

He is a brighter pic.

Pretty good eyes Ian. I would not have picked only 4 bolts on the ARB.

Yeah, that could be a problem. If I remember right those bolts are in the two slotted parts of the ARB, so the bumper could shift under impact.

With all those lights was the Alternator constantly on?
What was the idle RPM?

Show us some good offroad pics next time to make up for the driveway shots here.;)

VenX if you're having problems getting the ARB aligned with the bolt holes, follow this procedure.

Loosen the front and rear bolts you already have installed, so the bar can move freely. Have someone grab the front bar by the top tube and lift it until you can insert the foremost bolts in the bottom slot. Next have the person pull the top tube towards the front of the vehicle. This should pivot the back slot upwards. If it's still not moving you can put a floor jack under the back edge by the bolt hole and use the jack to help lift into place. This should help even up the side wings with the body lines. Not every frame is the same, so sometimes you just can't get the side wings aligned, but pulling forward on the bar, and using a floor jack should get the rear slot in the best position possible to tighten everything down.

This method has helped people get their bars installed without additional drilling of the bolt slots. Hope that helps.

If you see a big black Xterra that looks a little like this http://www.tnac.homestead.com/files/parked_005.jpg
sometime during the dates of March 11-15 then give me a wave. I will be down there for spring break. If you would like to meet up and take a look at my X let me know. Its basically the same thing you seem to be going for.

VenX - You ever wheel' down near Mustang Island etc?? Some fun stuff out there if I remember correctly. Of course you gotta be careful to Tread Lightly.

Nice XTerra, The rails come off in a jiffy (4 bolts) and youll be amazed at the performance difference if you dump those stock tires. Id go for something like some 31 or 32 BFG All Terrains in Corpus. Mud Terrains would be good too like X Factor appears to be running.

I like the lights - I bet you have to chip the dead bugs off the front with a jackhammer in summer

I'd carry a sand jack in your neck of the woods too...:D Or bring a buddy with a nice tow-strap.

I look forward to some action shots!

Cheers

You ever wheel' down near Mustang Island etc?? Some fun stuff out there if I remember correctly i have been all over the island down to a place call big shell where there is no way that i know of to keep on going south, the only thing i do not like is that you deal with salt and that messes up the car way to much. The time i went we got high tide and believe me it was a mess, although i have been trying to get a group together to go down there again but everyone i know down here is just to carefull with their trucks; i think x factor is coming down i will try to meet him and go down there for some fun. I am going to get 32 bfg muds anytime now but i will probably wait because i will be going down to FL for my spring break March 18to the 23 and i would not like to put 3000 miles in a set of brand new tires. By the way if there is somebody in the tampa area who likes offroading get in contact so that we can go offroading.
Thanks again for all your comments

What is there to do on bigshell? Its a long strecth of beach that runs all the way to south padre. I know there are sand dunes, but its illegal to venture off into them, and that is a ticket that I would not want to ever deal with.

I dont know of one damn place in all of corpus to go. Well I know of one, but I forgot where it is. Took my toyota out there a long time ago.

Well my friends and I are broke so we have to go cheap this spring break. We are gonna stay at port royal in port aransas, and hit up sharkies some as well on shoreline.

Its not bad on the beach during the break. It full of drunk, half naked women :)

Yeah - I would drive straight through Corpus and head right out to the beach. Its not bad when you live in Houston and want something more "natural.":D
