say goodbye to ur local motorshops=(vtecntrldSI 03-01-2002, 12:14 PM sup i know most of u in this forum are from accross the country and all and im from southern california. as u all know u all have ur local speed shops and motorsports places, well here in so kali alot of them are gonna be put out of business sorry to say because they are coming!!!!... yes a big japanese store from japan is coming here to america in may to wipe out all of the local small speed shops.. if ur not following me the picture this, imagine a wal-mart yes the actual size fill with isle's and isle's of car accesories and performance parts mainly spoon products straight from japan!! crazy huh well its true. the had some snap shots of it in the latest super street, and the place looks incredible. so in here in so kali i wish luck still to those local speed shops because there gonna need it!!!. word is these guys are here to totally wipe out the competition... dayam imagine that a walmart thats a import mart j.fuggi 03-01-2002, 12:24 PM i doubt they will wipe out all of america's shops. but they day i see a huge store stocking spoon parts is the day i go to jail for robbery. unless they plan to sell real cheap. "spoon morors on sale! was $8000, now $3000 " right fjt 03-01-2002, 12:24 PM There's more info about this at the front page of jdmcivic.com. b16a2si 03-01-2002, 12:48 PM What the hell is wrong with Autobacs comming to the US? If they were building one in my city, I'd be fuckin happy.:smoker2: CivicLx 03-01-2002, 12:51 PM What if people don't want JDM stuff? To me, all this hype about JDM is giving Japan too much credit. I mean, yeah I can dig some of it, but I don't know. Maybe cause I'm over here and I want to come home I think this way. That's just my opinion. CivicLx 03-01-2002, 12:53 PM I hope the employees speak english. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've been to Autobacs a few times over here, and I never even try to ask for anything cause they don't speak english, which I understand, because it is thier country. Rice-Rocketeer 03-01-2002, 01:49 PM Originally posted by CivicLx I hope the employees speak english. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've been to Autobacs a few times over here, and I never even try to ask for anything cause they don't speak english What's the point of having a JDM super store without authentic JDM employees? I mean that's like going a 7-11 and not finding someone fresh off the boat from Pakistan :bloated: It's funny cause me and sparq humored the idea of buying an old Walmart store and turn it into a HUGE import parts store. Wow...I think I need to clean myself. CivicLx 03-01-2002, 02:00 PM What's the point of going into a store when you won't be able to communicate with the employees, so then you won't be able to buy anything? Rice-Rocketeer 03-01-2002, 02:25 PM Don't you think it'll help preserve the JDM atmosphere if you have to bring a translator with you? Or just use hand signals. Hell they can hang little bamboo's everywhere and have a short myagi-lookin dude in the corner trying to catch flys with chops sticks. :hehe: CivicLx 03-01-2002, 02:33 PM Hahaha:D nemesls_2000 03-01-2002, 03:33 PM Man, that sounds cool--too bad I live across the country in GA!!! Hopefully some of the other local import dealers by you will drop their prices to keep up! LOW PRICES = :dogpile: BlkBltJames 03-01-2002, 03:34 PM hahahah Personally i would love to see one here in like GA or FLA....maybe there is one already...but i would love to go. Shoot, half the morons here in albany, ga are dickheads cause they think that they are the only ones in the world that know about imports. So they treat everyone else like crap unless you work there, or buy large amounts of parts from them. Stupid shop guys....get a life and stop being pricks. nemesls_2000 03-01-2002, 03:36 PM Originally posted by Rice-Rocketeer It's funny cause me and sparq humored the idea of buying an old Walmart store and turn it into a HUGE import parts store. Wow...I think I need to clean myself. Go ahead and do that so I can drive my happy ass down to Florida instead of going to Cali. BTW, you guys are going to give me the "hook up," right?!?:D sparq 03-01-2002, 04:01 PM Originally posted by Rice-Rocketeer What's the point of having a JDM super store without authentic JDM employees? Wow...I think I need to clean myself. Dude lets fuggin do it and be those fuggin jappies to the punch :finger4: Anyone wanna loan me errrr... $100,000,000 ? :finger: Actually could start pulling it off with about a million... hmmm, maybe we should do a pool of money and everyone throws in some money and each amount will get you like a certain amount of stock in the company... guys we have a location picked out already it would be NUTS! Not just JDM stuff cause I mean come on, not EVERYONE wants JDM crap  xivera 03-01-2002, 04:16 PM In Garden Grove, CA! Looks like I better go back to Cali! :D Anyway... That's cool as hell but, I don't think that it will replace the trusted shops that are already standing. Shops that do engine work... stuff like that... xivera 03-01-2002, 04:20 PM Originally posted by sparq Not just JDM stuff cause I mean come on, not EVERYONE wants JDM crap  That's right! :) SRHguru 03-01-2002, 06:03 PM Well, it sounds sweet and all... but what about the fact that it is probably gonna start jacking prices. The whole concept of the monopoly.... Plus all the JDM products (like spoon) are fairly pricey to begin with, like 100 bones for a set of sparks. I dunno, it seems like such a sweet, yet such a bad thing all that the same time. hobbesboarder 03-01-2002, 06:38 PM good my i hate my local speedshop. Its basically a room with some altezzas and badges and a big stack of catalogs that they order parts from and mark up. Good Riddance (a good band too) changedagame108 03-01-2002, 07:23 PM It'd be interesing to see the new shops in Cali. Over here in SF, there's only 1 or 2 shops that I can trust right now, so more the more shops to choose from, the better. CivSiGuy 03-01-2002, 09:01 PM If only I had a local speed shop in the first place.... b16a2si 03-01-2002, 09:08 PM Originally posted by CivicLx I hope the employees speak english. OK:bloated: ... If Autobacs is going to start up shops in Cali or any part of the US, I assume they will bring some of the staff from Japan but they will also have English speaking employees... What is the point of opening a store in the US if no employees can speak English???:o CivicLx 03-02-2002, 12:13 AM Exactly:D Hey changedagame...what shops you trust in SF? Is that just SF or the whole bay area? sparq 03-02-2002, 12:18 AM Originally posted by b16a2si What is the point of opening a store in the US if no employees can speak English???:o You must not have toll booths or 7-11's in your area :finger: praxis 03-02-2002, 12:56 AM Who likes to say that they bought their clothes at WalMart (not that there is anything wrong with that)? As long as I have been able to buy (anything)...I am much more proud to say...' I bought this from the small place down the road. The one that really cares about me. The one that is more interested in what I want...not how much money I am going to spend.' Big business is all about $$$...and nothing else. Big business is derived from people that most of us don't like. Yeah, big business is convenient. What happens when you go to 'big business' for help...NOTHING. They may replace the product with the same product (which you are not happy with in the first place) or give your money back (in which case you have to go eslewhere to get what you want). Will they exchange it and help you out with another product, that you may like??? NO!!! BIG business will never completely serve you needs. Small businesses are dedicated to individual people. sparq 03-02-2002, 01:27 AM Originally posted by praxis Who likes to say that they bought their clothes at WalMart (not that there is anything wrong with that)?
