sup i know most of u in this forum are from accross the country and all and im from southern california. as u all know u all have ur local speed shops and motorsports places, well here in so kali alot of them are gonna be put out of business sorry to say because they are coming!!!!... yes a big japanese store from japan is coming here to america in may to wipe out all of the local small speed shops.. if ur not following me the picture this, imagine a wal-mart yes the actual size fill with isle's and isle's of car accesories and performance parts mainly spoon products straight from japan!! crazy huh well its true. the had some snap shots of it in the latest super street, and the place looks incredible. so in here in so kali i wish luck still to those local speed shops because there gonna need it!!!. word is these guys are here to totally wipe out the competition... dayam imagine that a walmart thats a import mart

i doubt they will wipe out all of america's shops. but they day i see a huge store stocking spoon parts is the day i go to jail for robbery. unless they plan to sell real cheap. "spoon morors on sale! was $8000, now $3000 "

What if people don't want JDM stuff? To me, all this hype about JDM is giving Japan too much credit. I mean, yeah I can dig some of it, but I don't know. Maybe cause I'm over here and I want to come home I think this way. That's just my opinion.

I hope the employees speak english. I'm not trying to be rude, but I've been to Autobacs a few times over here, and I never even try to ask for anything cause they don't speak english, which I understand, because it is thier country.

It's funny cause me and sparq humored the idea of buying an old Walmart store and turn it into a HUGE import parts store. Wow...I think I need to clean myself.

What's the point of going into a store when you won't be able to communicate with the employees, so then you won't be able to buy anything?

Don't you think it'll help preserve the JDM atmosphere if you have to bring a translator with you? Or just use hand signals. Hell they can hang little bamboo's everywhere and have a short myagi-lookin dude in the corner trying to catch flys with chops sticks. :hehe:

Personally i would love to see one here in like GA or FLA....maybe there is one already...but i would love to go. Shoot, half the morons here in albany, ga are dickheads cause they think that they are the only ones in the world that know about imports. So they treat everyone else like crap unless you work there, or buy large amounts of parts from them. Stupid shop guys....get a life and stop being pricks.

Well, it sounds sweet and all... but what about the fact that it is probably gonna start jacking prices. The whole concept of the monopoly.... Plus all the JDM products (like spoon) are fairly pricey to begin with, like 100 bones for a set of sparks. I dunno, it seems like such a sweet, yet such a bad thing all that the same time.

good my i hate my local speedshop. Its basically a room with some altezzas and badges and a big stack of catalogs that they order parts from and mark up. Good Riddance (a good band too)

It'd be interesing to see the new shops in Cali. Over here in SF, there's only 1 or 2 shops that I can trust right now, so more the more shops to choose from, the better.

If only I had a local speed shop in the first place....

the smaller shops with big reputations will survive cos its all about the local scene..just becos some JDM shop is gonna open up it doesnt mean theyre gona tahe over the whole area!!
the JDM shope will have stuff straight from japan but what else can they tell u about it? probably jack shit!
