is it true that the Neon SRT-4's engine and turbo are both mitsubishi. different ppl ive talked to said it is, but i just get an answer from SRT owners. it cant be the 4G63 engine found in the EVO b/c that is a 2.0L and the Neon is a 2.4L.

nope, the engine is all dodge A853 motor, 2.4L differnt block. the turbo is a mitsubishi turbo, yes. but different also, to everything mitubishi uses. infact the turbine housing is cast into the exhaust manifold. so it looks like only half of the turbo. so yeah its kind of the same, but no its totally different. but it has the same exact motor mount locations, and exterior dimensions, so it is a direct swap for anything with the dodge 2.0 motor

in the past they had, but as of now, its all MOPAR products. but the srt has a new motor and tranny, both from good old Daimler Chrysler

will the second gen tranny work on the srt motor

TEXSRT4

yup, all the trannys will bolt up to the motor. infact the first and second gen trannys are geared better for drag racing than the stock srt tranny is!

you will want an intercooler of somesort, IC piping, plus the sensors, motor, exhaust, and computer. that should be enough for you. easy enough

i thought those were mitsu engines. the Sebrings/Avenger/Startus have DSM V6 engines though.

oh and you will need to get an aftermarket wastegate actuator. the stock wastegate is not adjustable and will be putting in upwards of 15psi, which is way too much on your stock 2.0 motor, an aftermarket one (which are readily availiable for around $100) will allow you to adjust boost to fit your application - to find one check out www.srtforums.com, most of the vendors there carry them in stock
