What I mean is, has anyone ever built a model that is one color in every part of the model...like having the whole car interior, motor, chassis, everything like Limetime Pearl or something of that nature. I think it would be pretty neat to see this...I may have to try it...just an idea of mine. That is all.

:sly: I don't know how good that would look, btw It's called Monochromatic when you just have one color.Raw would be just putting the model together as is with no paint what so ever.

You can see those a lot on manufacturers websites, Tamiya comes to mind. The put the test shots together, and they are all made in the same color plastic save the tires and windows. It does look kinda neat, but nothing I'd spend time on building.

Hey,

From what I think I am reading, you mean to paint everything the same exact color correct? But, would you paint all the trimwork too? Is that what you mean? All I picture in my head is some kind of import ricer. But, you should try it. I would like to see how it turns out.

Sounds like painting an AFV. Just button em up and spray the appropriate shade of olive drab, kaki or whatever!

...someone mention primer?
i've always thought that the tamiya light grey or white primer is a really nice colour.
it could just be the finish though, y'know, the slightly matt finish, as opposed to the gloss finish

glad to know i'm not the only one....

Years ago I did an all black car, but it was gloss, flat, satin etc. as if it was a real car with the various sheens representing the different textures and materials. Not boring, but it didn't jump off the table either... - Mark

If the color is not just grey or black, well maybe other toner color will be good and attractive. Might be a idea that I've never try before. :thinkerg:
