I have a 95' Dodge Neon. It is an automatic. My reverse lights don't work. I went to Oreilleys last night, the bulbs were good they tried new ones anyways still did not work, fuses were also good. They gave a Safety Neutral switch, and told me it goes on the transmission on the backside under the hood. Does anyone know where this would be? Also what else it might be if it is not the Neutral Safety Switch?

The safety neutral swith is also for your back up lights...working under the car look for the switch, not sure of it's direction...look at your new one and try to get a reference...should have 3 wires to it...when you remove it you will have a little tranny fluid come out so have a pan ready...make sure you install a new seal and torque to 24 ft pounds...check fluid level when done...

Here's a pic for ya... This pic is obviously for an MTX, but the neutral/reverse safety switch is located in the same area on the ATX.
