Just wanted to know how your truck performs with this set up. I just changed out from 3.58 with 31" tires to 4.30 with 31" and I love it especially with a supercharger. I would'nt think it would make any noticeable difference.

That's a great setup. I had stock 31's with 4:30's and it ran excelelnt. Now i have 4:88's for my 35's and there isn't much difference and is close to stock RPM's.

thinking of going to a 31 inch tire, but really think i need a better gearset, unable to find the ratio, factory stickers gone, but feels kinda geared high with p225x75r 15, who makes the gearsets? or do you go thru the salvage yard for them? also is there an after market transfer case gear set or case assy for the taco?
my old samurai had 4 or 5 different setups available.

What year is your truck and engine?? Precision, Yukon, genuine, and etc. Check your local gear shop or 4wheel drive shop for availability and ratios. If your truck came stock with 225x75x15 you more than likely have 3.58 gears. They are tolerable with a 2.7 and 31" tires.

it's a 96, with the 2.7, seems to run real strong, just feels geared a little on the high side, thanks for the info!
