Holyterror 12-26-2004, 02:39 AM Hot off the press - check this out! ...the internationally-released GT-R's basic specs have been confirmed! Nissan is making a radical departure from traditional powerplants, giving the '07 GT-R not one, but two hydrogen-powered rotary engines (one in front, one in back), providing as estimated 5,000 horsepower at each wheel! In addition, the new chassis will not be an XVL-derivative, but based on the new Titan, a duallie no less. The new super-pickup will feature a one piece carbon fiber body with no windows. Drivers will navigate via a large plasma display showing a top-down view of the truck and its surroundings, courtesy of Japanese spy satellites. Go tell your friends. The info is rock solid. I say this will all confidence. k3smostwanted 12-26-2004, 05:32 AM im pretty sure you were joking...:eek7: j_greene 12-26-2004, 12:09 PM Hot off the press - check this out! ...the internationally-released GT-R's basic specs have been confirmed! The tires will be made from pure South American tree rubber. Acceleration should be 0-60 in 1.4 seconds. Of course this is still just an estimate because road testing has not yet begun. wunfstmax 12-26-2004, 10:09 PM [QUOTE=1viadrft]RB is dead kiddo's... why use 15 year+ technology? The VQ and VK is the new top dog! I saw something interesting at the NISMO booth in Fontana at the JGTC event... and I took a few pix... hmm the vq has been around for 10 years 1viadrft 12-27-2004, 10:27 AM It doesn't really matter now... the VQ32DETT is already slated for production in the new GTR!!! Rotary? WTF??? 1viadrft 12-27-2004, 05:29 PM BTW: is this VQ32 a destroked VQ35 or a stroked VQ30??? I'm confused! VQuick 12-27-2004, 06:24 PM BTW: is this VQ32 a destroked VQ35 or a stroked VQ30??? I'm confused! Could be a destroked VQ35. At the very least, it'd be easy to build your own VQ32 that way. VQ35 block + VQ30 crank and rods= VQ32 'big bore' 1viadrft 12-28-2004, 11:20 AM I'm starting to wonder if it will be a VQ30... since all the R&D is being done at the JGTC GT500? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/myz32rocks/XavaniZ.jpg Who knows! I'm just content that they are releasing such a beast in the US... bussman240sx 12-29-2004, 12:06 PM Nissan has said numerous times that they are going to bring the skyline over here, i wouldnt get excited until you see them at the dealership. 1viadrft 12-29-2004, 01:12 PM ^ It's already been confirmed you dope! bussman240sx 12-29-2004, 01:52 PM R32,R33,R34=Aswesome New Skyline=Sucks VQuick 12-29-2004, 02:24 PM R32,R33,R34=Aswesome New Skyline=Sucks What do you mean? The current V35 and CPV35 Skylines are probably the best non GT-Rs produced in a long time, if not ever. They can already outperform previous GT-Rs in some areas. If you think the R32-R34 are awesome, the next GT-R will knock your socks off. 1viadrft 12-29-2004, 03:37 PM R32,R33,R34=Aswesome New Skyline=Sucks Yeah... how would you know that? This new GTR is gonna rock the car industry as WE know it! You sound like one of those rice kids that barely found out about the whole SKYLINE/GTR series after 2Fast-2Furious! Awesome? How would you know the awesomeness of these cars or it's future installment? I bet you have never even ridden or driven in one! The basis of your comment's are crap! :nono: bussman240sx 12-29-2004, 04:01 PM yeah, im a rice kid. Is that why I swapped a RB25DET into my 240??? I did it by myself with the help of one other friend since they taught us how on FATF. 1viadrft 12-29-2004, 04:36 PM That doesn't mean crap! Your stupid comments show that! bussman240sx 12-29-2004, 05:18 PM All im saying is i am not a fan of the new skylines, thats my opinion. 1viadrft 12-29-2004, 05:22 PM How can you say that, being a SKYLINE fan and all? I don't know about you... but I can hardly wait for the new GTR!!!! AWD! AWS (???)! TWIN TURBO! GTR... in the USA! C'mon.... even the regular G35's are great cars! bussman240sx 12-29-2004, 06:39 PM That doesn't mean crap! Your stupid comments show that! What comments show that. Just because I dont share the same opinion as you do on a specific car makes me a ricer. I dont have 20" wheels on my 240, or euro tails, or neons. I like the G35 as well. and as far as AWD and twin turbo, they have done that, the RB26DETT, and I have actually drivin a R32 GTR. I personally prefer the older skylines. Not trying to start a fight or anything, that is just my opinion. 1viadrft 12-29-2004, 07:01 PM What comments show that. Not trying to start a fight or anything, that is just my opinion. Okay... sorry for jumping on you! But you are saying you hate/detest/abhor/cannot abide the new "Skylines"? But you like the G35? Uh... are you aware that the G35 is also known as the V35 Skyline Coupe/Sedan in Japan? And I'm sure you are also reffering to the new GTR... since you posted here! That's the car we are all talking about in case you have not noticed? (6 pages of post') That car is going to have a VQ30 or VQ32DETT (twin-turbo) and AWD... being released in 20007! Can you see now why your comments seem 'stupid' to me? http://sportcompactcarweb.com/toc/scc-cover-large.jpg fallenprnce 01-06-2005, 11:35 AM you guys have to think of this in terms of logistics. It makes alot of sense for Toyota to come out with a super car. Toyotas image as of right now is that of the camry etc etc. Toyota is pissed about that so they want to thrash that image and break in with a new supercar (although i hear rumors of hybrid EEEEWW). Now, im willing to bet a ton of money (maybe a new GTR... anyone anyone) That the new engine in the GTR will be the VQ32DETT. That is the engine that is being developed in the JGTC car and is kicking ass on the circut. Nissan is trying to get the engine to be feasable by testing it out there. Infact in a personal convorsation with the president of Nsimo we discussed this. Allthough he was tightlipped the VQ32DETT is most definently the engine. Also, however this will not be a GTR as we know it, it will not be a tuner car anymore. The RB26DETT is dead along with the BNR chassis. I know, its a terribly sad thing, but not much can be done. 1viadrft 01-06-2005, 08:43 PM Actually... the engine used in the JGTC Fairlady's are VQ30DETT's... fallenprnce 01-07-2005, 09:03 AM I meant vq30 1viadrft 01-07-2005, 03:24 PM Right... gtrgib 03-28-2005, 09:29 PM I just hope they pick the right design for the 2007 GTR. So far, I've only seen one design I liked, and it wasn't that good either. Skyline_BNR34 04-03-2005, 04:44 PM yeah, im a rice kid. Is that why I swapped a RB25DET into my 240??? I did it by myself with the help of one other friend since they taught us how on FATF.:gay::loser::bs: they didnt show you how to swap a motor dude you are the dumbest guy on hear and i bet you car is a bone stock 240sx with nothing on it except the motor which was peobaly already put in buy a guy who was going to race it but you probaly dont even know anything boutt hat car. :chair: :nutkick: :flipa: <SSR>David 06-17-2005, 02:58 AM sigh...bussman240sx you deserve all that crap that they juss said about you. You really do. No one knows if the new GTR is going to suck or not...we wont know even from the specs, the only way we will truely know is to drive it ourselves so until then...keep thoes kinds of comments to yourself. You could have just said this instead : From what I have read in the specs the new GTR doesn't seem to be that good or some other crap like that. Use your brain if you got em.
