I recently bought a 2001 Town and Country Limited that has front heated leather seats with side airbags in them. Well the heated seats dont work but the light on the switch comes on. Took it to a dealer who said the seat back element has an open when tested. next he says that since it has airbags in the seatback I would have to buy the whole seatback at around $600 each. Is there a way around this. I was told on the vans without airbags in the seat you could replace the element. Also is there a safe way to isolate the seat bottom from the back so the bottom would work. Has anyone attempted to replace the element on side airbag seats
