Parts you need for a PROPER 4th generation timing belt job.Huffa 12-01-2004, 01:31 PM For 4th generation 90-93 Just thought I'd make it easy for U guys that are due soon. All parts are mail ordered from Manchester Honda (dealer) which sells them at a discount. www.manhonda.com Their prices are in the ballpark with any other discount place and have extremly FAST shipping. They never messed up my orders yet. 1) timing belt - $31.69 2) balance belt - 30.69 3) balance shaft seal - 4.49 4) balance shaft tensioner - 50.35 5) water pump - 45.00 6) thermostat - 11.56 7)cam seal - 3.76 8) crank seal - 5.41 Total for above was 178.46 + 7.59 shipping - NO TAX I wondered on some sites why they sell the balnce shaft gear & housing which is all one piece and now I know. It is not rebuilable and the seal can leak and it is costly and mine did leak!! 9) balance shaft gear & housing - 156.00 + 9.00 shipping (At the dealer by me they wanted 200.00 for it!) Go ahead - call up your nearest Honda dealer and ask the price of a few parts - more then likely they won't be as low! These are all TRUE Honda parts too. NO AFTER MARKET JUNK!! JimmyzGarage 12-01-2004, 04:02 PM Thanks Huffa, I was just thinking about doing this. I'm due pretty soon, besides I have an oil leak from that area cuz the last guy who touched that area was incompetent . Now I have the tools and the garage to work on it myself. I'll be doing the timing belt plus a conversion to rear disc brakes from drums (I found a set with, trailing arms and cables for 100 bucks) Huffa 12-01-2004, 08:30 PM That's a good deal you found! My 91 SE came with them & anti-lock brakes which I would of preferred (antilock) not having. I hear they can be costly to fix if you run into trouble with them and since it was the 1st year for them....well you know how that can go. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
