*cries* my rod bearings are goingggg :(

anyone reccommend any CHEAP (less than 550 bux) reliable engine sellers in SoCal? what are my options for a direct fit swap?

Holidays are coming and spendable cash is at a premium... I have been considering just buying new rod and main bearings and an oil pan gasket and dropping the pan with the engine still in the car and replacing the bearings. What are the chances of this solving my problem (or actually even bening a working option) to carry me through until after february?

Reccomendations?

If your crankshaft is scored (and you won't know until you get the bearing caps off) you're out of luck.
