A lady at my work has a 99 Sebring and her air is stuck coming out the defrost. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

I have since went out and looked at her car and it is really not stuck on defrost...it actually is more stuck on vent. It does however "try" to move to the different selections but don't quite make it. It mostly comes out of the vent no matter where you put it. I don't hear any vac leaks under the hood or dash but I am dressed up for work and it is cold so I didn't get to into checking it.
