I have a 99 neon and a friend of mine is making a exhaust for me from the exhaust manifold back and I need to know what a good brand of muffler is? I that dont sound like a bumble bee or a weedeater. Is Fireball good?

Doesn't get better and Borla. There really expensive but there good. They have very good flow plus thier stainless steel so it will never rust out on you.

Boral is rather cheap and does the job. I didnt like the way it sounded or the way it was positioned on the car. So I swapped it for the Vibrant DTM. You can also consider a 2 chamber Flow Master for the 4banger. With each of these you will not be sounding like a lawn mower.

Is it the same kind of flowmaster they put on v-8s or something smaller??? Are they unviersal?

Yes they make universal mufflers.

my friend has a 2000 neon with a cat back magnaflow and a rush muflfler it sounds great and has a deep throaty tone around 4500 rpm and it flows great.
