I have a 1989 Accord LXi which I love. It only has 70,000 miles on it and runs great with very few problems.

The biggest problem I have is the driver's seat. Everyone, (me and two of my sons) always have back problems when driving it for more than 1/2 hour.

Any suggestions ... oh ... and of course if the suggestion is get a new seat could you also say what kind and where?

Take it to a car upholstery shop and have them pull the cover. They find a broken brace or strap which can be fixed. They may also be able to put in extra padding to give more back support. You could do a junk yard trip but may have problems finding a color match.

Quick temporary solution (and with back problems, the sooner the better) --- a narrow but fairly fat cushion in the small of your back so that your spine has more of the curve it's supposed to have.
