2004 Daytime Running Lights

Has anyone disabled the daytime running lights on a 2004 Tacoma? I have read the Toyota Service Bulletin for 2000 (EL011-00). Has anything changed since 2000 and is it still an accurate disabling? Anyother ideas from anyone? I have also tried pulling the DRL fuse under the hood, but it did not have any effect the DRL at all. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

you will need to find the power wire for the drl's and splice in a toggle switch.

Thanks for the info. Is that the wire the service bulletin advises to cut? Or do you know if there is another known wire out there?

Thanks for checking!

I think I'm going to try the wire mentioned in the service bulletin (www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/ducky_drl/ducky.htm) this weekend, which was for the 2000 model, and I don't know if anything has changed since. I'll post a result, when I give it a try. I know I'm not the only out there trying to figure it out.
