Removing dent?curbie 11-28-2004, 12:55 PM I have a small dent in my '00 Tib - driver side...next to the back seats. I tried taking off the plastic panel to push the dent out, but it appears you need to take out the rear seat and the fold down seats. I don't want to do this...I REALLY don't wanna take it somewhere and pay to have it fixed either. But I will if I HAVE to. I keep hearing that people can use a plunger to pull dents out...but I also hear that if you use a plunger, it will pull the paint off too, and you'll have a nice ugly circle of no paint and then the dent might not come out, either. Is this true? :uhoh: :sly: Would anyone have any tips/suggestions? Thanks! twospirits 11-28-2004, 01:54 PM If its a small dent with no crease then you can possibly take it out without messing the paint with the Ding King, which they advertise on tv and on the internet. A few of my friends have used it with much success. But like I said, so long as it does not have a crease in it. Oh btw you may want to ask the question also in our Car Detailing (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1070)section. they might have other solutions. TS out curbie 11-28-2004, 07:37 PM Thanks TS! That was a brilliant idea! :iceslolan I just purchased my very own Ding King dent remover today on eBay :smokin: BTW, there is no crease...it is just a small dent :icon16: Thanks again! nisco 11-28-2004, 07:51 PM let us know if that thing works curbie 11-29-2004, 06:36 AM let us know if that thing works No probelmo nisco - It ships today, so when I get it and try it out I'll let y'all know how it goes down :iceslolan tibby01 11-29-2004, 09:18 PM you prolly should have tried to get to it from the inside. taking off the seats is not hard at all. 14mm socket on 6 bolts total. did you try getting to it by taking out the speaker? i had to do that once. curbie 11-30-2004, 08:19 AM The dent is at the bottom of the car - so taking out the speaker wouldn't do much good for me tiby01. I don't wanna take out those sockets...it would take me hours to do all of that and put it back together! When I can just spend $10 and use a Ding King and only take minutes..I'll take that over the other idea anyday! More to come on the update....I'm still waiting on FedEx to ship the item to me.
