question?Slow&QuiteRacing 02-27-2002, 07:39 PM hey dudes. I'm just wonder if it`s legal to import a Bnr32 to auckland new zealand. I've heard something about the importance of earlier than 94's car will be prohibited in NZ!!! oh bull....... Is it ture?:flipa:   :bloated: :bloated: moondog 03-03-2002, 06:04 PM the short answer is that you have about 3 weeks to get it in, and registered, before the new rule comes into force. After April the first (appropriately: April Fools' day :p ) new frontal impact requirements come into force. As Japan introduced these standards between 1994 and 1996, pretty much any Japanese car pre-1994, and many pre-1996 won't be allowed in any longer. Have a look on the SDU forums (http://forums.skylinesdownunder.com) - it's been discussed heaps. tazdev 03-04-2002, 02:02 AM From what I understand (from my father who works in compliancing) is that the LTSA has already been given the go ahead from the Government to implement the changes which will come into force on the first of April. Time is running short:( "Pandamonium" 04-09-2002, 02:40 PM There is some talk about allowing "special" cars in. :flamer: politicians tazdev 04-10-2002, 03:27 AM I don't believe it this section does actually work:D Thought it was dead Gonthrax 04-11-2002, 12:58 AM Originally posted by tazdev I don't believe it this section does actually work:D Thought it was dead Lol, it comes to life every now and then;) RazorGTR 04-12-2002, 12:48 AM It may actually start more with a few defectors from the SDU boards who spat the dummy over something small but we hope that will change. We are trying to rid the boards of crap hence my involvment now. :) Gonthrax 04-12-2002, 06:16 PM Originally posted by Razorgtst It may actually start more with a few defectors from the SDU boards who spat the dummy over something small but we hope that will change. Discussion board got cut for the off topic and gen discussion here. [TWUBLE] 06-20-2002, 12:08 AM Im back :) Moppie 06-20-2002, 12:41 AM The guy I work for is compliance officer for Lotus and Lambo cars, and said its possible to get excepmtions on any model of car. For something like an early Esprit this isnt a problem, and the LTSA guys dont even bother looking at the car. But something like a GTE Skyline I wouldnt even bother. However an R32 GTR would fall in about the middle of a GTE and an Esprit in terms of being exotic, so its probobly worth checking about getting one registered under an exemption.
