Xplocivic 03-07-2002, 10:51 PM Originally posted by igo4bmx universal mufflers are not not good, just like computer errors. I'm gonna have to disagree on that one bro. I happen to have a Universal with a custom 2 1/4" setup and its very nice. Great sound and excellent power response for HALF the money of a vehicle specific setup. My buddy just had a custom exhaust made for his 93 RX-7 and it uses a universal dual-canister muffler with custom mandrel bent 3" piping and he saved almost $300. So, unless these vehicle specific systems can make claims of over 10 hp more then a custom job, I'm sticking to custom setups. onesojourner 03-08-2002, 01:49 AM i agree and yes i might be able to squeez 1,2, maybe 3 more hp out of a vehicle specific exhuast but is that really worth the 300+ jOYRiDe 03-08-2002, 02:24 AM Originally posted by Xplocivic I'm sticking to custom setups. finally a yank that doesnt buy stupid brand name exhausts EastCoastCivic 03-08-2002, 10:56 AM Sorry, started a new thread for my questions.
