S-10 Blazer Will Not StartTIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-27-2004, 06:49 PM Have An S-10 Blazer 1989. Been Down For 4 Months. Started Surging High/low Stopped Engine Checked Things Out, Needed A New Cap And Rotor-replaced Them Would Not Start Again Since Then I've Replaced Wires, Plugs, Pickup Coil, Coil. Rebuilt Fuel Injectors/pressure Regulator. Fuel Pump Delivers 9lbs. Any More Ideas BlazerLT 11-27-2004, 06:57 PM Have you checked for spark at the end of each plug wire? TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-27-2004, 07:04 PM Have you checked for spark at the end of each plug wire? YES SPARK IS AVAILABLE BUT IT IS KINDA WHITE LOOKING NOT THE NORMAL BLUE, BUT I REPLACED PLUGS WIRES, COIL AND PICK UP COILS TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-27-2004, 07:22 PM Fuel Pump Pressure Is In The Low Range Of Normal, Could Be? BlazerLT 11-27-2004, 07:31 PM How is the timing? TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-27-2004, 07:34 PM Set Dead On TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-27-2004, 07:56 PM Forgot To Mention Timing Chain And Sprocket Also Replacedo BlazerLT 11-28-2004, 12:25 AM Did you remove the timing wire when you were setting the timing? TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-28-2004, 04:21 PM No I Did Not, I Just Set The Timing Marks With #1 At Tdc. Where Is The Timing Wire Located BlazerLT 11-28-2004, 04:31 PM I believe it is the beige and brown wire coming from the PCM and under the glove compartment carpet. Unattach it, set the timing to zero WITH A TIMING LIGHT, and then turn the truck off and attach the wire back up to the PCM. TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-28-2004, 04:32 PM Sorry But The Blazer Will Not Start. Every Thing I Do Now Has To Be Static BlazerLT 11-28-2004, 04:40 PM Ok, and you are sure the injectors are spraying? This sounds like a timing problem. If you have fuel and fire, the only thing to adjust id the timing. Have you tried adjusting the distributor to advance and retard the timing at all? TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-28-2004, 04:41 PM After Repeated Attempts To Get The Blazer To Start The Starter Has Given Out, Pulled It Out Yesterday And The Teeth Are Worn, Will Replace The Starter Than Start Again. One Problem Leads To Another Such Is Life BlazerLT 11-28-2004, 04:42 PM Check your oil for a smell of gas. If the level is high, the oil is impregnated with unburnt fuel and needs to be replaced to get the truck running again. TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-28-2004, 04:44 PM I Made A Mistake And Forgot To Turn The Ignition Switch Off As I Was Checking The Rotor Alignment On The Distributor, As I Turned The Distributor Right Or Left The Injectors Sprayed Fuel Into The Tbi. The Only Thing Iam Worried About Is When I Performed A Fuel Pump Pressure Test It Tested At 9psi. This The Low End Of The Acceptable Readings TIMOTHYHEMPLE 11-28-2004, 04:45 PM Any Chance After Sitting For 4 Months The Fuel Might Be Flat BlazerLT 11-28-2004, 06:50 PM But still perfectly normal. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
