TommySS 11-27-2004, 03:30 PM V8 or 6? azdoublebeck 11-27-2004, 07:28 PM V8 or 6? a v8. think it's figured out but it's not firing right. seems to be backing into the carburator.... TommySS 11-28-2004, 05:05 PM Should be straight out to the back of the carb. The firing order is cast into the intake manifold (if it's stock). Should be 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 have the fireing order, have the timing on the mark apparently, there's not a strong enough spark. can't seem to get the spark strong enough to get started... Even if the coil screws penetrated the cap, it should at least "try" to start. Let us know how it goes there was not enough spark to fire up. had coil tested. tested bad. bought a new one. car is trying to turn over but still not a full start. but more of a possibility than before...not sure of a next step... TommySS 12-05-2004, 04:52 PM carb flooded? Spark plugs fuel fouled? azdoublebeck 12-05-2004, 05:31 PM carb flooded? Spark plugs fuel fouled? discovered that the oil is full of gas. dropping the oil pan now and changing oil. from there i'm guessing to start with basics and verify they're all working adequately. TommySS 12-06-2004, 09:11 PM All you need to do is drain the oil/change the filter and refill. You need to pull all the plugs (at once), and hold the throttle open and crank for about 20 seconds (clear out the raw gas from the cylinders). Either clean or replace (I'd replace) the spark plugs. Button everything up and hit the key. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
